Lucky people spend their entire lives being cured by childhood, while unfortunate people spend their entire lives seeking a cure

Recently, I have been particularly interested in fun projects, so I have specially organized some interactive content projects related to commercial or artistic fields.

The creative studio Moment Factory is located in Montreal, Canada and specializes in the creative production of various light and shadow works.

Unlike Teamlab's project's pursuit of visual excellence and expression of static philosophy, the Foresta Lumina project is a typical successful example of Moment Factory (MF) combining art with secular standards of happiness.

MF has transformed George Park located in the Coaticook Canyon of Quebec into a magical forest night destination. Starting from the prelude, the protagonist is Margaret, a little girl who lives near the forest in Coaticook. She tells the story of entering the forest and completing the entire magical journey together with fairies and night creatures.

Foresta Lumina cleverly extracts the mysterious colors of indigenous legends and integrates MF's own specialty of light and shadow production, breaking free from the original limitations of ecotourism. It offers another possibility to see the forest, in addition to using picturesque scenery as a selling point - the possibility of using art to bring multiple sensory experiences to tourism.

The overall planned path of Foresta Lumina is about 2.6 kilometers, divided into 10 different areas. In each area, sound and light are used to describe magical experiences, from "Wishing Garden" to "Margaret's Secret". Tourists can experience the entire extraordinary magical journey at their own pace. And each unit takes between 3-5 minutes, taking into account the fluidity of the night scene moving line.

In order to make visitors forget the outside world and integrate into this luminous wonderland, Magic Forest strives to create an immersive experience. Firstly, visitors need to pick up a stone on the ground to embark on a journey to the magical forest, and when they reach the end of the road, the stone will start to shine, "like a stone made of light. When the stones in the hands of all participants light up together, the light becomes an exciting and shared experience:

If people start silently wishing at this moment, imagining that they will gain greater power,So magic really changed people's souls to some extent

The first stop to enter the magical forest from a distance is a suspension bridge. As night falls, the dark beams emanating from the bridge lead people on an unknown journey of exploration.

▲Based on forest legends and indigenous mythological systems, design seven different interactive characters (pictures from the internet)

MF introduced the seven mythological characters of this program through a giant illuminated laser cutting manuscript. A mysterious rune vocabulary connects different elements of the interactive storyline, drawing inspiration from local legends such as fairies and wishing wells.

Along the way, there were mysterious birdcages and bamboo lanterns hanging all over, illuminating the road as if hinting at the magical feeling that was about to come along the way. A warning is written on the ubiquitous screen: "Please be careful of the wandering elves.

Speaking to the big horn on the roadside, you will hear an elf like response, as if telling the children that we are waiting for your exploration in the depths of the unknown forest.

The plot draws the audience's interest in continuous exploration through the struggle between Margaret and evil. Throughout the entire experience, the MF team presents a magical sensory journey through artistic brushstrokes of mountains, forests, and rocky rivers. They used various techniques to treat the scenery on the road, such as stars treated with organic fluorescent paint and glowing plants in close proximity.

At certain nodes, MF mischievously set up many small fun scenes, such as moving tree roots, anthropomorphic tree trunks, and so on.

Foresta Lumina's scene design combines projection and lighting, accompanied by ethereal soundtracks. Most importantly, it designs a series of participatory activities, resulting in an unparalleled sensory experience. The MF team customized the entire project equipment, including perforated metal plates similar to ancient manuscripts, designed lighting fixtures that look like fairies, and mapped natural elements into videos. Integrating multimedia devices into the surrounding environment creates a stunning and magical feeling. And it doesn't affect the viewing experience during the day.

With the process of urbanization, in the homogeneous environment that can be seen everywhere, modern people have become increasingly dull. In ancient times, when the sun sets, there were still bonfires and revelations, while modern "social animals" only passively accept the scripted virtual world after work.

How to make people go out of their homes and actively experience the world has been a topic of discussion in recent years.

Our country has conducted many light and shadow shows and water shows in recent years, which have also driven a lot of night tourism economy. However, overall, its characteristics are still planar and two-dimensional, primarily to meet the visual stimulation of large urban scales, with commercial purposes above all else.

What we hope to see is that it can arouse people's inner resonance and emotion, truly tap the essence of traditional culture, and also use ingenious means to express appreciation of both refined and popular tastes, so as to achieve the unity of commercial and artistic behavior.
